The Dark King — The Fallen Prince

Prologue:

Everyone’s afraid of the dark at one point in their life… or is it the things that are in the dark that we fear? The shifting in the shadows, the movement out the corner of our eyes. Most parents tell their kids there is nothing to fear in the dark… their wrong ya know. Its odd, no one ever asks what does the darkness and its denizens fear. What keeps them up at night scared, sweating, at least the ones that can sweat that is. I’ve never had the luxury of fear, since the day I was born I’ve been taught that fear equals death. Imagine if you will, being born into royalty, but having that be the biggest curse and burden you can ever possible have. I know what the night fears… and its me. My name is Stonia Ebon, son of Gravinic Ebon, King of Grand Kandalu Pillar in the heart of Africa. I was born a prince, and destined to be King. I’m also 4000 year old hunter… and this is my beginning.

I was once a warrior, or as I like to say a slave. Born and destined to fight back the evils of the world, a heavy burden for anyone to bear, especially a child. Imbued with the magical symbols of Kandalu as an infant, I could see, hunt and fight the demons, the shifters and undead on their supernatural level. Such is the burden of my family to protect our kingdom and the world. You have no choice, you have no freedom, your only purpose as a member of the ruling family is to protect the kingdom at all cost. Your bred and trained as a warrior not just to face the supernatural, but to fend off the other tribes who want to rule. The few that have rejected their calling as protectors and have attempted to run were hunted down and destroyed just as we would destroy the dark ones. In my kingdom, WE are the hunters and the night fears us! But that was then, I was revived in this new time, full of wonders and mysteries I could never imagined. This world is far different than what I am use to or remember it. Awakening in this world has been problematic, to say the least, but not insurmountable.  I have and always have had one mindset and mission from birth, protect the innocent, terrorize the night. New world… same mission. (more…)

It has been almost 2 months since I’ve written anything, and for that we’re so sorry, we’ve gone thru SO much since then, and we’ll BOTH start writing again. Zoe and I have been thru a nightmarish couple of months, both emotional and physically. My princess has had a nervous breakdown, had to stay at a health center for a week. We found she was going thru severe depression, which seems to be hereditary on her mom’s side, so she’s now on and anti-depressant known as Paxil. She’s is showing tremendous improvement since then… SCORE!! I have my Princess back, I’ve been so worried about her. Now about me… (more…)

Shy Ramada — The Beginning…

The flight took longer than expected today, “The rain and turbulence from the storm must have made it harder for the plane to land”, he said to the woman next to him. He never was uncomfortable with turbulence while flying, it was tranquil to him and usually calmed him enough to sleep like a baby riding in a moving car. “Off again to do another performance evaluation.” he thought, “Or should I say give another performance!”, he smirked silently to himself. “The numbers from the financial analysis just don’t add up and seemed off at the Maryland branch, I’m sure I can help them.” he told Chairman Syn the day before. Without much time pasting and just like that, the company put him on the next flight to Maryland. If he was good at anything it was saving the company money. “I spend so much time working, I should be good at what I’m doing by now.” he remarked to himself. “The first thing I need to do is check-in into my hotel room for the night, and as usual I know where I’m going and staying.” (more…)
