How important do you think love is and being in love with the person that you are with and becoming best friends before you fall in love?

I believe that Love is THE most important thing, otherwise, why engage in a relationship?

Love to me should be the goal, everyday… all day, even when its tough, and making someone your best friend is the best way TO fall in love and keep it going. The greatest advice that I ever received or give about relationships is that, “Love is an action before its a feeling.” You have to do something to get that feeling, and it has to be done to you as well, but that’s not as important as the effort that you make to do it. Fight Fair and be each others best friend.

That doesn’t mean that their aren’t other views on it, some do get into relationships for financial security or to be taken care of and some because they want kids. Some are just lonely and want someone to spend time with, while others get into a relationship just for sex. I’ve even had people I know get into a relationship just because they have like interests and want someone to hang out with.

Now its time to here what you think.

What do you think is the most important thing in a relationship? Take the poll.

There is no means a simple answer for this question, but there are steps that you can take to make your relationship last. Go to counseling with one another, not just when there is a problem, but to try to understand each other. Sit down and have a heart to heart, a real one, not just what the other person wants to hear, but one that enriches your heart as well and brings you closer. No one can satisfy an unknown expectation.
